Soda Fountain Stools
For anyone that might not know, soda fountains are devices from which carbonated beverages come out of. Syrup, carbon dioxide, and water are joined together to make what some people call soda or pop.
The origins of soda fountains come from the mineral waters that would naturally bubble up from within planet Earth. People thought that these waters were very good at keeping people healthy. This is believed to have helped lead to scientists creating water with carbon dioxide in it and this was termed soda water.
Eventually public soda fountains started in Europe. They ended up coming over the ocean to the United States and this is where they gained their most popularity.
In a public place like this, of course there was a need for something to sit down on – this is where soda fountain stools come into play. These stools needed to be rugged, as everyone from children to the elderly could be found at these vintage soda fountains.
The sturdy soda fountain stools became a mainstay in the business. There was a special feeling to be able to sit on them and enjoy a beverage of choice.
They are not very common in today’s world, though they can still be found. Some people now even have home soda fountain machines.
